That’s right! These models have been extensively backtested, forward-walked, re-optimized AND at the same time, had our Custom brain train, think & design it’s own UNIQUE entry/exit rules.
Your scripts might run locally, but in the background they communicate with the BRAIN on our Secure Server, to make real time decisions to only place trades that meet its confidence criteria.
What are the below results ?
What you’re seeing below is not your standard MetaTrader Backtest graphs, but rather the graphs you’re seeing is years worth of data, divided into 15+ segments, and then split into a further 2 segments EACH, to ensure the models get trained on a set of data, and then tested on data it’s NEVER seen before. Once both runs are done on “SET1”, in sample and out of sample results are compared, parameters are adjusted, a small part of the old data is discarded, a small piece of new data is then added to the training section, and the loop continues.
Why do we do this ?
Training models on data means it can easily show positive results in a backtest because it has seen the data and knows what to do.
Feeding it data it has never seen, and reviewing the results, allows the model to learn which changes need to be made in order to sustain itself when it meets data it has never seen before.
Constantly running on data it has never seen before (out of sample) and having to adapt, and do this over years, ensures a couple of things:
Real time performance matches training. This means that growth, stability and performance matches test results.
The strategy is not going to fall apart when it has to run on unseen (new) data, which it is given daily.
ON TOP OF THIS - once the extensive training and OOS runs are done, our state of the art ‘BRAIN’ is then fed all the data, in- and out- of sample results, and then it builds it’s own set of rules to enter, exit, or hold (do nothing) only when a certain confidence level is met.
This thinking model (“Brain”) is then applied, and re-run.
